Behind Door Number One

It felt good to complete something this week and here are the results of my labour

I sanded scraped filled sanded again and painted the door a couple of times  but it was all worth it, the hundred year old glass looks like new!  There was a one inch border of pink paint I carefully scraped off the glass and the door is now a crisp clean white rather than the discoloured cream colour it was before.

It is a little hard to see but the center glass is covered in an intricate  butterfly pattern.

I want to find some way to reflect the butterfly’s and the glass colours in the overall living/dining room design, maybe with art?
